About the Role
We are recruiting for Class 1 or Class 2 drivers to join our Transport Team at our Booker Retail Partner site. In this position, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of stock to our independent retailers’ stores.
Our Class 1 jobs do require handball and manual work which can be physically demanding. This includes working outside in adverse weather conditions and handballing product at some of the delivery points.
Rotating shift pattern – Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday, 5 days x 9.6 hours = 48 hours
Start Times: 10:00 – 13:00
The safe delivery of stock to our 198 cash and carry stores.
Ensuring all paperwork is completed after delivery.
Make sure your vehicle is in good condition at the start and finish of your shift.
Work autonomously as well as part of the wider transport team.

Qualifications
- Class 1 Licence holder.
- Driver CPC holder.
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
- Experience of multi-drop; temperature-controlled food deliveries preferred but not essential.
- Flexible in work and hours, including at short notice.
- Valid C+E Licence with experience driving a Class 1 vehicle, not essential.
- All applicants must be CPC qualified.
Applicants Not Considered
Applicants will not be considered if they have more than 6 points on their licence, ‘Careless Driving’, prosecution for mobile phone use or drink driving, or have failed to comply with ‘Construction of Use’.
