About the role
We are recruiting for a Teacher of French (with Spanish) at Bobby Moore Academy based in The London Borough of Newham.
13 hours per week, 2 days a week – Term Time
About the MFL Department
As a teacher of MFL, you will work with the MFL team in the delivery of this curriculum according to the teaching and learning handbook, and will develop staff through CPD and instructional coaching. You will also deliver the French curriculum, which was founded in the 2025/26 academic year and now begins to grow with founding Year 7 moving into Year 8.
At KS4 our scholars follow the AQA GCSE Spanish specification, and there is an option to complete one of our home language exam packages.
At Bobby Moore Academy, scholars study an ambitious and academic knowledge-rich curriculum. Our KS3-4 curriculum is sequenced to ensure that all scholars master essential disciplinary and substantive knowledge for success at GCSE, A-level and into a future career in the humanities and linguistic industries. The MFL department is well resourced, with an experienced and dedicated team of teachers and support staff who are passionate about our subject, and our scholars.

Who we are looking for
- Qualified Teacher Status
- A good honours degree in a relevant subject
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Excellent practitioner with demonstrable experience of raising standards and leading developments in Spanish
- Experience of successful delivery of the GCSE French (and Spanish) programmes to a high standard
- Experience of working in high-performing contexts
- Experience of coaching staff across a range of levels
- Commitment to research-informed pedagogy
- Relentlessly high expectations of staff and scholars
- Excellent subject knowledge
