We are advising a global institution’s international sales and trading platform at a pivotal moment in its growth. Forming a key part of a diverse investment banking group, with a dominant footprint across Europe and North America, this fixed income effort thrives on a fully integrated model working alongside M&A, capital markets, and private funds advisory.

As the platform accelerates its European expansion, we are seeking an exceptional Director or Managing Director to spearhead the distribution of leveraged credit products and materially expand the firm’s institutional footprint. This is an opportunity for a proven market leader to leverage a highly resourced global infrastructure and drive the strategic growth of a high-performing desk.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Drive the distribution of European high-yield bonds, leveraged loans, and distressed or special situations credit instruments
  • Manage and expand senior-level coverage across a sophisticated institutional client base, including prominent hedge funds, asset managers, real money accounts, and special situations funds
  • Partner with international credit trading teams, Capital Markets, Research, and M&A advisory to deliver comprehensive market intelligence, generate trade ideas, and facilitate complex transaction execution of illiquid/esoteric trades
  • Contribute to overall desk strategy and trading book positioning while providing leadership and mentorship to junior sales professionals

Candidate Profile:

  • Currently operating as a Director or Managing Director with a proven track record of institutional revenue generation within European credit sales
  • Deep technical understanding of credit structures, documentation, and the dynamics of both liquid and illiquid credit markets
  • Extensive, active relationships with key credit investors and cross-border institutional decision-makers across Europe
  • Strong commercial acumen and the professional gravitas necessary to originate opportunities and navigate complex client transactions
