IT Field Engineer Location:Fermanagh, serving clients across the UK and Ireland Salary:£30,000 to £40,000, depending on experience Type:Permanent, full time Hours:Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, plus a paid on call rota (1 week in 3, once trained) Who We Are KITS IT is a Fermanagh based company that is passionate about technology, but we know not everyone shares that passion. The Role As an IT Field Engineer, you will be the engineer our clients depend on, providing on site and remote support across their systems, networks and telephony. The work covers client sites across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, combining field work with time in the office. Key Responsibilities Act as the go to expert for technical support and troubleshooting Install, configure and maintain hardware, software and network systems Set up and support networking, Wi-Fi and hosted telephony at client sites Administer Microsoft 365 and cloud services Maintain accurate, organised documentation Communicate technical concepts clearly and keep things simple for clients Work both independently and as part of the wider team What You Will Need Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, DNS and DHCP Experience with Microsoft 365 and cloud services Networking experience (LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, firewalls); UniFi or Ubiquiti an advantage Experience with VMware or Hyper-V Exposure to Apple macOS and Linux an advantage Experience with hosted VoIP, backup and monitoring tools an advantage Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Ubiquiti or Cisco) desirable Strong problem solving skills and a hands on approach Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner Comfortable with hands on installation work, mounting equipment and basic cabling, and able to lift and carry equipment Willingness to travel across NI and ROI and to take part in a paid on call rota Full clean driving licence What We Offer Company vehicle with fuel provided Hybrid working, with the option to work from home as well as the office Minimum 28 days annual leave Ongoing training, in house and external Exposure to a wide range of IT projects across multiple industries A varied role where no two days are the same Eligibility You must be eligible to work in the UK and/or Ireland.
