The Opportunity
A globally recognised company is seeking an experienced Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) to lead and evolve its enterprise-wide GRC function.
This is a high-profile leadership role with responsibility for defining and implementing the organisation’s Governance, Risk & Compliance strategy across the Group. You will play a pivotal role in strengthening information security governance, enhancing IT General Controls (ITGCs), and embedding a strong culture of risk awareness and compliance throughout the business.
Working closely with executive leadership and key business stakeholders, you will provide strategic direction while ensuring robust governance frameworks support the organisation’s continued growth and transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, develop and implement the Group-wide GRC strategy and roadmap
- Establish and embed governance frameworks, policies, standards and controls
- Drive continuous improvement across governance, risk management, compliance and ITGC programmes
- Monitor and assess third-party suppliers and systems integrators against security and compliance obligations
- Provide regular reporting and insights to Executive Leadership, Audit Committee and Board-level stakeholders
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing GRC team
- Build strong partnerships across Information Security, Finance, Internal Audit, Legal and wider business functions
- Ensure regulatory, compliance and risk requirements are effectively managed and communicated
- Promote a proactive risk and compliance culture across the organisation
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Significant experience within Governance, Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit or related disciplines
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior leadership or management position
- Proven experience operating within large, complex organisations
- Strong knowledge of governance frameworks, risk management methodologies and compliance practices
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience presenting to senior executives, Audit Committees and Board-level audiences
- A track record of building and leading high-performing teams
