Chartered or nearly chartered Senior Engineers

Overview

We are seeking Senior Engineers with a passion for the design of bridges and other civil engineering structures to work in our busy Guildford office where we are engaged on a variety of interesting UK and international projects.

You will have

• Minimum of three years’ post-graduate experience in bridge or civil structures design
• Chartered status (CEng) or be near chartered with a relevant professional institution
• Experience of design and detailing in steel and concrete to Eurocodes and/or other international standards
• Experience in the use of computer software for the analysis of structures (experience in MIDAS Civil preferred)
• Experience in the production of design deliverables – drawings, specifications, etc.
• Ability to work on your own and within a team to meet project, client, company and personal objectives
• Some experience in the supervision of other engineers and BIM/CAD technicians
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Self-awareness of the limitations of your own knowledge/experience and when to seek advice if unsure how to tackle problems
• A creative and thoughtful attitude to the solution of engineering problems in order to achieve cost effective designs and develop innovative solutions
• Awareness of the importance of costs and the need to complete projects on time and to budget
