This role sits at the heart of the organisation and plays a critical role in partnering with senior commercial leaders to drive profitable growth and strategic decision‑making. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to executive and commercial teams, translating financial insight into clear actions that enhance business performance.

Key Responsibilities for the successful Commercial Finance Manager:

  • Partner closely with senior commercial leaders and executive stakeholders to support strategic decision‑making.
  • Provide financial insight and challenge to drive revenue growth, margin optimisation, and cost efficiency.
  • Translate financial performance into clear commercial actions for non‑finance stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships across sales, marketing, operations, and product teams.
  • Lead financial analysis on trading performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Deliver regular commercial performance reporting, including revenue, margin, pricing, and promotional analysis.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support commercial initiatives and investment decisions.
  • Analyse customer, product, and channel profitability.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure forecasts reflect the latest market and commercial insights.
  • Support major commercial initiatives such as: Pricing strategy, Promotional effectiveness, New product launches, Channel expansion, Investment cases.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications of the successful Commercial Finance Manager:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Experience within consumer sectors would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial insights.
  • Can‑do attitude and hungry to progress your career.
