The role
We’re partnering with a large, data-driven organisation seeking an experienced technology leader to take ownership of a critical enterprise data capability. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity, combining strategic platform oversight, engineering excellence, operational leadership, and senior stakeholder engagement. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of a major data ecosystem while leading high-performing teams responsible for delivering reliable, scalable, and business-critical platforms.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the long-term strategy for enterprise data platforms, balancing innovation, resilience, and business value.
- Lead multi-disciplinary engineering and delivery teams, driving operational excellence, platform reliability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee large-scale technology programmes, ensuring successful delivery through effective governance, planning, and stakeholder management.
- Partner with senior business and technology leaders to influence investment decisions, platform roadmaps, and organisational data strategy.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading data, platform, or technology functions within a complex enterprise environment.
- Strong background in data platforms, cloud technologies, engineering leadership, and operational management.
- Proven track record delivering large-scale transformation programmes and managing senior stakeholder relationships.
- Experience owning budgets, vendor relationships, and building high-performing teams with a focus on continuous improvement.
