YourRole

AsLead Estimator, you’ll deliver high-quality estimating and cost planningservices across major infrastructure programmes-Rail, Aviation, Highways, andEnergy. You’ll manage complex estimates, guide design decisions, and ensurecommercial viability through robust cost analysis.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll inspire early careers talent and helpfoster a culture of continuous improvement, while reviewing team outputs toensure excellence in delivery. You’ll be responsible for constructing bids andproposals for new work, actively identifying cross-selling opportunities, andrepresenting the company in client and consultant interfaces throughout allstages of a project. As you progress toward Director level, you’ll follow astructured development pathway and meet performance milestones, takingownership of P&L for a defined segment of the infrastructure business.You’ll also champion innovation and best practice across the estimatingdiscipline.

  • Manage the estimatingand cost planning process across full project lifecycles
  • Develop and implementestimating strategies, ensuring compliance and consistency
  • Prepare initial costplans at pre-concept and concept stages, refining through to detaileddesign
  • Apply deep sectorknowledge and leverage market data for robust forecasting
  • Collaborate withmultidisciplinary teams to deliver sector-specific solutions
  • Line manage and mentorhigh-performing teams locally and nationally

WhatYou’ll Bring

  • Degree in QuantitySurveying or related field (preferred)
  • Chartered or workingtowards RICS or equivalent
  • High standard ofestimating or quantity surveying experience (consultancy or contractorbackground)
  • Operational finance andinternal project reporting experience
  • Demonstrated ability tolead teams and manage staff effectively
  • Role model for juniorstaff and advocate for best practices in estimating
