IT Procurement Manager

Salary: £40,000 – 40,000 per year

Requirements

• We require at least 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supplier management, or a similar commercial role.
• We require experience working within an MSP, IT reseller, technology distributor, or a similar environment.
• We require a strong understanding of procurement processes, purchase orders, and order fulfilment.
• We require proven experience managing supplier, distributor, or vendor relationships.
• We require strong commercial awareness and decision-making ability.
• We require excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• We require strong attention to detail when handling pricing, specifications, and supplier information.
• We require excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• We require experience working with procurement, ERP, PSA, or business management systems.
• We require a proactive approach to problem solving, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Desirable: experience using Autotask PSA.
• Desirable: knowledge of IT hardware, software licensing, and cloud services procurement.
• Desirable: experience supporting procurement governance and compliance initiatives.
• Desirable: understanding of stock management, logistics, and equipment fulfilment.
• Desirable: exposure to supplier performance management and procurement reporting.
• Desirable: experience working with major IT distributors and vendor partners.

Responsibilities

• We manage end-to-end procurement activity across hardware, software, licensing, and services.
• We work closely with suppliers, distributors, and vendor partners to ensure products are sourced, ordered, and delivered effectively.
• We manage supplier relationships and monitor stock availability and lead times.
• We place purchase orders, track fulfilment activity, and resolve supplier-side issues where required.
• We work closely with internal stakeholders to maintain accurate procurement records.
• We help improve procurement processes, governance, and reporting.
• We support commercial decision-making and manage supplier escalations.
• We resolve fulfilment issues and contribute to improvements in supplier performance, cost control, and operational efficiency.

This is a senior, hands-on role working closely with Sales, Finance, Service Delivery, Technical, and Operations teams. The role offers a salary of £50,000-£65,000 (DOE) plus benefits, and provides an important opportunity to support customer delivery, supplier performance, operational efficiency, and commercial success.
