Infrastructure Engineer – Bickenhill

Salary: £38,000 – 45,000 per year

Requirements

• We require candidates to be eligible for DV (Developed Vetting) security clearance.
• British nationality and long-term UK residency are required for DV clearance eligibility.
• Experience across enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Good understanding of infrastructure security, structure, and design.
• Experience supporting high-availability infrastructure environments.
• Good knowledge of enterprise infrastructure hardware.
• Experience with routing and switching technologies.
• Firewall administration or support experience.
• Understanding of backup and disaster recovery principles.
• Experience using monitoring and performance management tools.Good understanding of Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and networking issues effectively.
• Ability to design, document, and explain technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Logical and methodical approach to problem solving.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• High standards of professionalism, documentation, and technical delivery.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Flexible approach with willingness to support a small business environment.
• Strong team player with collaborative working style.
• Full UK driving licence is desirable due to occasional travel requirements.

Responsibilities

• We support the development, delivery, maintenance, and ongoing support of infrastructure environments.
• We work with network design principles, including security, redundancy, resilience, and risk management.
• We support and maintain Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
• We assist with the administration and support of enterprise network infrastructure.
• We support routing, switching, firewall, and VPN technologies.
• We monitor infrastructure and system performance using monitoring and alerting tools.
• We provide technical support to both customers and internal teams.
• We support the delivery of internal and customer infrastructure projects.
• We create and maintain clear technical documentation.
• We troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and system-related issues.
• We travel to customer and supplier sites when needed.
