Software Engineer, C++

Tower Research Capital is a leading quantitative trading firm founded in 1998 that specializes in systematic trading and engineering, focusing on low‑latency solutions for cryptocurrency markets.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing a high‑frequency trading platform for cryptocurrency markets, which includes collecting quotes and trades from and disseminating orders to exchanges worldwide
• Optimizing this platform through network and systems programming, and other advanced techniques to minimize latency
• Analyzing system throughput and latency performance, and building performance‑tracking tools
• Developing systems that provide easy access to historical market data and trading simulations

Qualifications

• A degree in computer science or a related field
• At least 5-7 years of experience in a software engineering role
• A strong background in data structures, algorithms, and object‑oriented programming in C++
• Brilliant problem‑solving abilities
• The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong communication skills
• Good understanding of the Linux operating system and networking (TCP/IP and UDP) is a plus
• Knowledge of Python and shell scripts is a plus
• Familiarity with cryptocurrency markets, exchange APIs (WebSocket/HTTP), and cloud technologies is a significant plus
• Experience in financial and crypto markets is a plus, but not required
