Senior Cloud Security Engineer (CNAPP/Wiz)

Birmingham / Sheffield / Leeds / Edinburgh (Hybrid)

The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Cloud Security Engineer to lead the rollout and optimisation of Wiz (CNAPP) across a large-scale Google Cloud (GCP) environment.

This is not a passive monitoring role — you’ll be at the centre of improving cloud security posture, working directly with platform and engineering teams to identify real risks and drive meaningful fixes.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deploying and scaling Wiz across GCP projects
• Identifying security risks (misconfigurations, IAM issues, vulnerabilities, exposures)
• Tuning and reducing alert noise to focus on what actually matters
• Working with engineers to turn findings into real remediation actions
• Embedding security into DevOps / CI-CD workflows
• Driving continuous improvements in cloud security posture
• Producing clear metrics and reporting on risk and progress

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on Wiz experience (essential) – you’ve implemented or worked with it in production
• Strong GCP security knowledge (IAM, networking, logging, Kubernetes/GKE)
• Background in cloud security / DevSecOps / platform security
• Experience working with containers / Kubernetes
• Ability to assess risk properly – not just surface alerts
• Confident working with both engineering and security teams
