Job Overview

This role sits within the Enterprise Network Operations team as a technical authority across Support, Design/Delivery, and Automation functions. You will ensure stability, performance, and continuous improvement of critical network services, provide operational expertise, influence engineering decisions, and maintain relationships with internal customers.

What you’ll do

  • Escalation for critical, high severity network incidents; analytics and forensics for major incidents
  • Delivery of management platforms and new toolsets for the Support organisation
  • Drive process improvements within the wider Enterprise Networking organization
  • Contribute to infrastructure project deliverables and work with business customers
  • Mentor Support engineers and contribute to career development
  • Collaborate with Support, Automation, Design/Delivery, Security and other infrastructure teams to ensure aligned end‑to‑end supportability

Essential criteria

  • Qualified to Cisco CCNP level or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in a Support and Operations environment
  • Proven experience delivering and running network management platforms (e.g., Netbrain, Solarwinds, Cisco DNA Centre, etc.)
  • Experience with automation frameworks (scripting, Python, Ansible, REST APIs)
  • Extensive knowledge of all enterprise networking technologies including firewalls (Palo Alto/Cisco ASA), load balancers (F5), switching and routing fabrics (EVPN/ACI/IOS‑XE)

Desirable skills and experience

  • Undergraduate degree level
  • Exposure to broadcast or media environments
  • Exposure to virtual server environments / ESX cluster management
