Your Team

Customer Optimisation team – part of Times Media customer and Customer Operations area. Role focuses on delivering front‑end optimisations and experiments that enhance customer journeys and digital experiences.

Your Role

Front End Developer – Software Engineer based in London Bridge. Report to the Experimentation Lead. Enhance front‑end of The Times and Sunday Times digital products, collaborate with marketing and subscription stakeholders, deliver high‑impact experimentation strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance robust front‑end digital solutions for The Times and Sunday Times.
  • Optimise existing capabilities built by the product team to improve user experiences.
  • Execute experiments and tactical implementations to achieve key business outcomes.
  • Partner with internal and external digital platform teams to integrate permanent features.
  • Manage code reviews and PRs while ensuring high standards for performance and security.
  • Participate in technical discussions and business meetings to scope development requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience utilizing A/B testing and experimentation tooling such as Optimizely or similar platforms.
  • Skilled at integrating third‑party vendor solutions alongside proprietary first‑party codebases.
  • Solid understanding of automation testing and maintaining valuable test suites.
  • Ability to navigate new codebases quickly and apply agile methodologies within a collaborative team.
  • Passion for well‑crafted code with a focus on architecture and engineering best practices.

Work Model

Hybrid model: a minimum of three days per week in the office. Certain roles may require additional in‑office days; discuss specifics with recruiter.
