Overview
The AWS Infrastructure Energy Team (IET) is seeking a results‑orientated individual to join in the role of Grid Delivery Manager. In this role you will be responsible for delivering large‑scale critical HV/MV grid interconnection projects within EMEA under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver large-scale critical HV/MV grid interconnection projects within EMEA under tight deadlines.
- Lead and coordinate cross‑functional teams including design engineering, construction, planning, environmental and real estate to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and provide weekly reporting on key project risks and issues to senior management, directors and vice presidents.
- Drive the grid infrastructure delivery program, standardize processes, develop tools for delivery execution and support financial budgeting.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, construction management or a similar technical focus.
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience delivering HV & MV infrastructure projects/programs from design to energization.
- Strong communication skills and ability to deliver with diverse teams.
- Experience building and cultivating relationships with internal and external stakeholders and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Experience in building power substations, working with utilities and understanding their environment and culture.
- Experience analyzing cost/benefit trade‑offs across a strategic portfolio and demonstrating successful transaction in multiple cultural contexts; experience directly managing international teams is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in data centers or critical infrastructure.
- Fluency in French, Spanish, German or Italian.
- Master’s Degree (MBA/MS) and/or PMP Certification.
- Experience designing substations or other energy infrastructure.
- Experience working for utilities and with or for energy regulators.
