What you’ll do

  • Shape the architecture of data products built for:
    • analytics
    • forecasting
    • feature engineering
    • customer behavior insights
    • integration of new data sources

Data Transformation & Governance

  • Lead best practices in:
    • data modelling
    • performance optimization
    • governance
  • consistent
  • reliable
  • readily available

Platform & Tooling

  • Build reusable tooling and frameworks that enable teams to:
    • ingest data
    • store data
    • transform data
    • serve their own data products confidently
  • Partner closely with:
    • data scientists
    • machine learning engineers
  • Improve and evolve the overall data infrastructure
  • Experiment with emerging technologies
  • Explore open-source tools
  • Engage with the broader tech community
  • Help keep Prima at the cutting edge

What we’re looking for

Software & Data Engineering

  • Strong expertise in Python
  • Passion for writing:
    • clean
    • reliable
    • production-grade code

Distributed Data Processing

  • Experience building and operating:
    • batch processing systems
    • distributed data systems
    • near real-time streaming pipelines
  • Familiarity with:
    • Kafka
    • Flink
    • Spark
  • Databricks experience is a strong plus

Databases & Data Warehousing

  • Comfortable working with:
    • RDBMS
    • data warehousing solutions
  • Strong understanding of data modelling aligned with business needs

Reliability & DevOps

  • Experience with:
    • CI/CD pipelines
    • testing practices for data systems
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as:
    • Terraform
    • CloudFormation
  • Thrive in collaborative environments
  • Comfortable stepping beyond your scope when needed
  • Strong sense of ownership and team spirit

Nice-to-Have

Data Governance & Quality

  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Data Quality
    • Data Governance practices
  • Familiarity with modelling approaches such as:
    • Star Schema
    • OBT
  • Knowledge of modern architectures:
    • Medallion
    • Lambda
    • Kappa
  • Experience building or contributing to cloud-based data platforms
  • AWS preferred
  • Familiarity with:
    • S3
    • Glue
    • Athena

Data Science & MLOps

  • Exposure to:
    • data analysis
    • MLOps
    • feature engineering
  • Curiosity and willingness to go deeper in these areas
