About The Role
Our YouTube team is growing, and we are on the proactive lookout for a Data Analyst. The Data Analyst produces insight that drives decisions across the YouTube team and informs the Originals commissioning pipeline.
What The Opportunity Looks Like
- Channel Performance – Analyse YouTube channel performance across watch time, CTR, audience retention, subscriber growth, CPMs, return viewers, and audience share to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Dashboard Management – Build, maintain, and optimise live reporting dashboards using Looker Studio and BigQuery, ensuring stakeholders have access to accurate, actionable performance data.
- External Intelligence – Conduct competitive and market intelligence using tools such as Tubular Labs, Social Blade, and platform analytics to benchmark performance and identify emerging category trends.
- Format Growth and Analysis – Deliver audience, content format, and growth analysis to inform channel strategy, content investment decisions, and new channel or format opportunities.
- Portfolio Growth Tracking – Monitor portfolio performance against targets, proactively flagging underperformance and providing data-driven recommendations to support business and commercial objectives.

- Proven experience in data analytics or digital/media analytics, ideally within YouTube, social media, or digital publishing environments.
- Experience analysing YouTube performance metrics, including watch time, audience retention, CTR, subscriber growth, RPM/CPM, and viewer behaviour.

- Proficiency in BigQuery, SQL, Looker Studio, and data visualisation best practices.
- Familiarity with competitive intelligence and social analytics tools such as Tubular Labs, Social Blade, or similar platforms.
