Requirements

• We require hands‑on experience with SAP BPC (Business Planning & Consolidation).
• We require experience supporting or maintaining finance systems and reporting platforms.
• We require strong troubleshooting and issue resolution skills.
• We require the ability to work in a support‑driven, BAU environment.
• We would value broader SAP or EPM experience, including SAP, Hyperion, or Anaplan.
• We would value experience with UAT, system upgrades, or implementations.
• We would value an understanding of financial reporting and month‑end processes.
• We would value experience working in a shared service or support function.
• Applicants must be sole UK nationals.
• Applicants must be able to attend site in Frimley or Portsmouth occasionally if required.

Responsibilities

• We will have you take ownership of our SAP BPC system and ensure it operates effectively.
• We will have you act as the first point of contact for user queries and issue resolution.
• We will have you monitor and manage system performance, including period‑end processing cycles.
• We will have you troubleshoot system issues and ensure quick resolution.
• We will have you support finance teams during month‑end and reporting cycles.
• We will have you manage and respond to queries through a shared inbox environment.
• We will have you support testing and validation activities where required.
• We will have you contribute to ongoing system improvements and process optimisation.
• We will have you produce and maintain system documentation and training materials.

We are supporting BAE Systems in hiring a Finance Systems / SAP BPC Analyst for a 12‑month contract. This is a hands‑on, business‑as‑usual support role focused on maintaining a critical financial reporting platform used across the business. The position is based in Portsmouth or Frimley with a very flexible hybrid setup and minimal on‑site expectation, though occasional attendance may be required. This is an inside IR35 contract offering the opportunity to join a major defence organisation, take ownership of a business‑critical reporting platform, and gain exposure to SAP BPC in a large‑scale environment.
