In this role you will work with a multitude of market-leading teams from Deloitte to deliver value to clients across the value chain, focusing on quality, regulatory compliance and delivery excellence. This includes strategy and proposition definition, detailed operations and tech design, and participation in engineering and implementation teams to deliver for our clients. Responsibilities
- Lead Business Analysis Workstreams: lead and mentor a team of business analysts, define the business analysis strategy and approach for complex, multi-workstream transformation programs, work closely with Life Sciences and Healthcare clients to understand their business requirements and key challenges, conduct discovery sessions, undertake business process analysis to produce clear As-Is and To-Be models, translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria, and act as the primary point of contact to ensure the solution is built right the first time.
- Contribute to Service Offering Growth: support the development of propositions, proposals and RFP responses in the Life Sciences and Healthcare sector, mentor and coach junior team members, and stay abreast of evolving technology landscapes and industry best practices.
Essential Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific, engineering or technology discipline (e.g., Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering).
- Proven experience leading and managing projects or significant workstreams, demonstrating strong project management skills such as planning, execution, risk management and stakeholder communication.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences, technical and scientific.
- Experience working as a Business Analyst in Biotech/Pharma Life Sciences, with strong business and functional knowledge of the domain.
- Experience supporting Research and Development teams in Biotech/Pharma Life Sciences, with a strong understanding of core domain applications such as LIMS, ELN and CTMS.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and resolve roadblocks to delivery, engaging with leadership and escalating where necessary to ensure project momentum.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant professional certifications such as Business Analysis (BCS, IIBA), Agile (Certified ScrumMaster, Product Owner) or Project Management (Prince2).
- Familiarity with regulated environments such as GxP, clinical or diagnostic workflows.
- Master’s degree or equivalent advanced qualification.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and their application in regulated environments.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Visio, Miro or Confluence.
- Expertise in a range of business analysis techniques and methodologies, including requirements elicitation, process modelling (BPMN) and documentation.
