Fabricator Welder

A Fabricator Welder with proven welding and fabrication experience across stainless steel and/or carbon steel is required for a precision engineering company based in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Fabricator Welder who has proven experience in welding and fabricating stainless steel and/or carbon steel.

The role includes supporting high‑quality fabrication and welding projects within a busy precision engineering environment, and occasionally assisting with mechanical installation works at client sites, including nuclear power stations and food manufacturing facilities.

Salary: £20.69 per hour + overtime + benefits

Location: Great Yarmouth, Norfolk (NR31)

Job type: Full‑time, permanent

Working hours: 38 hours per week (early finish on Fridays)

Duties

  • Weld and fabricate stainless steel and/or carbon steel components
  • Read and interpret technical engineering drawings accurately
  • Produce work to a high standard within a precision engineering environment
  • Use TIG and/or MIG welding processes where required
  • Work efficiently as part of a busy fabrication and welding team
  • Occasionally assist with mechanical installation works at client sites
  • Follow safe working practices within the workshop and on client sites
  • Liaise effectively with colleagues to support smooth workflow and project delivery

Candidate requirements

  • Proven experience in fabrication and welding of stainless steel and/or carbon steel
  • Ability to read and interpret technical engineering fabrication drawings
  • Experience with coded TIG/MIG welding desirable but not essential
  • Highly motivated, flexible and responsive to change
  • Calm under pressure in a fast‑paced working environment
  • Methodical, communicative and able to take ownership of tasks
  • Well‑capable of working well with colleagues and supporting wider workshop requirements
