As you’ll spend a fair amount of time on the road we will provide you with a business use van and fuel card so you’ll not be out of pocket.What you’ll do:As a Plasterer you will carry out all forms of plastering repairs in our properties as part of our Responsive Repairs Team and elsewhere depending on demands.Applying and finishing acoustic, insulating and fireproofing materials bonded with plaster, plastic cement and similar materials .Preparing corner beads, and securing them in position.Fixing pre-cast cornices, panel mouldings, coving, ceiling centres and other plaster fittings and determining plasterboard layout, and installing insulation and vapour barriers.Plumbing and straightening corners, angles, wall and ceiling surfaces as well as creating decorative textures in finishing coats.Measuring, marking and cutting plasterboard, lifting and positioning panels, and securing them to walls, ceilings and battens.Covering joins and nail holes with wet plaster and sealing compounds, smoothing them using wet brushes and sand paper.Mixing and applying coats of plaster, cement and render to structures using trowels, and levelling and smoothing coats to uniform thickness.What you’ll need:You should have experience within a similar role, ideally from within a Residential/Housing sector and must be qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 2 OR have a minimum of 5 years proven track record working as a plasterer.Have a strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of health & safety best practices.Enjoy working as part of a teamThis is a full time role, working 40 Hours per week.Due to the requirement to travel, you must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 1 years experience and have the ability to drive and take home a company van.This role is subject to a satisfactory licence check and essential qualificationsJob DescriptionWe have some great benefits at SNG, including:Tool AllowanceUniform & PPE25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays (with an extra day every year up to 30 days)Chance to buy or sell holiday as part of our flexible benefits package3 additional wellbeing days and 2 paid volunteering daysEnhanced maternity/paternity/adoption payGenerous matched pension scheme up to 12% and Life cover at 4x salaryA van and fuel card for business traveliPhone and iPadSmartTech – Buy an electrical item and pay it off through your salary over 12 monthsAt Sovereign Network Group, we are passionate about inclusion for all and creating a workplace where everyone can thrive.
