2nd Fix Carpenter

Role Overview

Teamforce Labourare is currently looking for an experienced 1st & 2nd Fix Carpenter to join a project in Underriver, Kent, with an immediate start available on Monday. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of finishing carpentry works, with the majority of the work involving the fitting, adjustment, and reworking of ironmongery to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Fitting and adjusting door ironmongery, including hinges, handles, locks, closers, and associated hardware.
• Reworking existing ironmongery installations to ensure correct operation and finish.
• Easing, adjusting, and realigning doors as required.
• Carrying out general 2nd fix carpentry works.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality and workmanship.
• Working independently from drawings and site instructions.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in both 1st and 2nd fix carpentry.
• Strong knowledge of door sets and architectural ironmongery.
• Ability to troubleshoot and rectify installation issues.
• Own tools and PPE essential.
• CSCS card preferred.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work unsupervised.
