He communicates better once comfortable but may initially struggle to start conversations or ask for help.

Support needs

  • Needs time to build rapport and confidence in social interaction
  • May require support initiating conversations and expressing needs
  • Dyslexia support, especially when reading instructions or recipes
  • Assistance with preparing meals following a structured ketogenic-style diet (approximately 3 carbs per meal)
  • Encouragement to maintain independence in meal planning and cooking with appropriate guidance
  • Awareness of specialist nutritional supplements delivered via Nutricia and Vitaflo
  • Calm, reliable, and patient approach
  • Interest in sport, music, or outdoor activities is beneficial
  • Able to encourage independence while providing clear, practical support
  • Experience supporting individuals with communication difficulties or learning differences is an advantage

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Must have a full driving licence and access to own vehicle
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience as a support worker
  • Good communication skills and a good sense of humour
  • Have compassion, empathy and patience

  • Monitor clients’ health and wellbeing

Successful candidates will be required to attend an interview followed by a meet‑and‑greet with the individual to ensure a positive match for everyone involved.
