We’re looking for a compassionate and organized individual to join our team at HMP The Verne in a unique dual-role position combining frontline recovery support with data and administration responsibilities.

About You

Qualifications & Experience
- Experience within substance misuse, health, social care, criminal justice or a related environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
- Confidence maintaining accurate records and working with data systems.
- The ability to prioritise competing demands and manage a varied workload.
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach.
- A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and person-centred support.
- Experience within a prison or criminal justice setting is beneficial but not essential.
Please note: This role is subject to Enhanced DBS clearance and enhanced prison vetting.
Responsibilities
This is a varied position that combines direct service user support with essential data and administrative responsibilities.
- Support individuals throughout their recovery journey, from initial assessment through to ongoing intervention and recovery planning.
- Deliver one-to-one support, harm reduction advice and wellbeing interventions.
- Promote engagement with treatment, healthcare services and peer support opportunities.
- Build positive working relationships with prison staff, healthcare professionals and partner agencies.
- Process referrals and maintain accurate service user records.
- Support data quality, reporting and performance monitoring.
- Coordinate information across teams and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of an integrated Health and Wellbeing service.

Salary
CGL points 20 to 21 (£26,296.03 – £27,165.10)
