Job Role & Key Duties (Harrow)
- Plan and deliver personalised lessons
- Teach pupils aged 3-11 with profound and multiple learning difficulties in Harrow
- Deliver sensory-based learning activities suited to complex learning needs
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet communication, physical, and developmental needs in Harrow
- Work alongside teaching assistants, therapists, and SEN professionals
- Use communication tools including PECS, sensory resources, and interactive learning approaches in Harrow
- Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP targets
- Create a calm, safe, and engaging classroom environment in Harrow
- Support pupils with communication, engagement, and life skills activities
The ideal Primary PMLD Teacher will be proactive, patient, resilient, and experienced working within SEN or PMLD settings. Qualified Teacher Status and previous experience teaching pupils aged 3-11 within SEN education are highly desirable.
