PERMANENT, FULL – TIME (37.5 hrs per week)

Job Overview

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an individual who wants a desire to grow their insurance understanding. If you are starting out on your insurance career, then this could be just the role for you. An Insurance Premium Technician works as part of a Team under the direction of a Team Manager, performing standard technical checks and processes as they relate to the risk being processed to ensure that agreed market SLAs in respect of turnaround and quality are achieved. All work processed must meet agreed service levels in respect of quality and turnaround times. Training will be provided for all insurance documentation / systems required to perform the role.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Conduct technical checks on insurance documentation to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies or errors.
  • Liaise with customers and brokers to resolve queries and issues related to the work being processed.
  • Own and manage own workload.
  • Input details into the database to initiate settlement / updates.
  • Complete accurate reporting associated to the work being processed.
  • Support and contribute to innovation and process improvement projects.
  • Review and validate insurance documentation.

  • Computer literacy with working knowledge of Outlook and MS Office.
  • High level of accuracy with attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational, personal and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Positive attitude and natural curiosity to identify improvements.
