Position
Milton Church of England Primary School (DEMAT) is seeking to appoint a Part‑Time Level 2 Teaching Assistant (Point 5). FTE £25,583 per year (≈ £14,046 pro‑rata). Working 23.75 hours, 39 weeks per year, 8:30 am‑1:15 pm Monday‑Friday, KS1. Fixed term for 1 year, commencing September 2026.
About the Role
The role provides classroom support to pupils and assists teachers in KS1 classroom activities. The working pattern is 23.75 hours, 39 weeks per year, Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑1:15 pm.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers and pupils with lesson preparation and delivery.
- Support pupils with learning and behaviour in the classroom.
- Maintain classroom materials, equipment and resources.
- Communicate clearly with teachers, pupils and parents.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working with children and/or as a Teaching Assistant.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Enthusiastic, ambitious and serious about improving children’s life chances through education.
- Highly organised, conscientious and able to set clear priorities for a busy workload.
- Can work cooperatively and communicate clearly with colleagues, parents and pupils.
- Willing to work flexibly, professionally and with a ‘can‑do’ attitude.
