Cover Supervisor – Rickmansworth

Salary: £90–£130 per day (dependent on experience)

In this role, you will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged with pre-planned work and maintaining a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain focused and on task.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions provided by teaching staff.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and expectations.
- Provide support and guidance to students where appropriate to facilitate learning.
- Report back to teaching staff regarding lesson outcomes, student progress, and behaviour.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence in managing groups of students and maintaining classroom discipline.
- The ability to remain calm, organised, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine interest in education and supporting young people to succeed.
