Year 5 Teacher – September 2026
We are recruiting for a temporary Year 5 Teacher for a Primary School in Hindley Green (WN2) to work on a long‑term basis starting in September 2026.
This Year 5 Teacher role is a temporary role, working on a long‑term supply basis, and is to start in September 2026 and run until December 2026.
This role is working 5 × full days per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 am–16:00 pm. There are 28 children in the class, and one full‑time TA is working on a one‑to‑one basis with a SEND child. The school would like someone who has previous KS2 teaching experience and who has strong behaviour‑management skills.
Your role & responsibilities:
- Teaching the children in class, ensuring they complete their work
- Guiding students through the curriculum, marking work, setting homework tasks
- Managing behaviour
- Upholding the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons
Non-negotiables:
- You must have relevant experience teaching pupils
- Hold QTS
- Knowledge of the national curriculum
- Be passionate and understanding
- Have confidence in managing classes of pupils
- Excellent organisational skills to keep on top of marking and lesson planning
- Good communication skills
