Overview
Nottingham College Art Department is seeking an enthusiastic technician to work within our creative faculty. This pivotal role ensures our students have access to exceptional workshops, specialist equipment, and safe working environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage workshop spaces within the chosen specialism (Textile, Ceramics, or General Art & Design).
- Order materials and maintain equipment, ensuring timely servicing of machinery.
- Implement health and safety procedures and conduct inductions for small groups of students.
- Prepare and deliver workshops and live projects, including end‑of‑year show preparations and external exhibitions.
- Support manual handling and physical tasks required by the role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in digital software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and 3D design/re‑printing tools.
- Physical capability to perform manual handling and related tasks in ceramics, textiles and art & design environments.
- Experience or interest in supporting students and facilitating workshops is desirable.

- Salary: £25,256 to £26,348 per annum FTE (pro‑rata for part‑time).
