Job Details
- Salary: £15,434.29 (increasing to the National Minimum Wage after 12 months)
- Contract: Fixed term for up to 24 months
- Hours: 37 per week, including 20% apprentice programme time
- Basis: Full Time
We are looking for a motivated Economic Growth Apprentice to join our Economic Growth and Visitor Economy team at Newark and Sherwood District Council. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience, develop practical skills and work towards a Level 4 Associate Project Manager apprenticeship.
You’ll support the team with a wide range of tasks, including:
- Supporting digital marketing and promotional activity for tourism and visitor economy projects
- Helping to create and edit content for websites, social media, blogs and online event listings
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of projects, events and business support activity
- Supporting the development of newsletters and communications
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Keen to learn and develop through an apprenticeship
- Interested in economic growth, tourism, business support or place promotion
- Organised and able to manage priorities
- Interested in using social media and digital channels to engage audiences
You will need:
- Maths and English at grade 4/C or above (or equivalent), or be willing and able to work towards Functional Skills as part of the apprenticeship
- Flexibility to attend meetings, events and activities at different locations when required
- The ability to occasionally work outside normal office hours for events or promotions
