School Technician – Food Technology & Art Maternity Cover

Salary: Grade C SCP 4 – SCP 6

Actual salary £20,377 – £21,028

Hours: 35 hours per week during term time plus 5 days

Fixed Term to cover maternity leave

Period: 1 September 2026 to 23 July 2027

The School is looking to appoint a School Technician to join our team. We are seeking a conscientious and energetic person with a wide range of practical skills. You will work across both Food Technology and Art & Photography departments, coordinate the use of practical technology resources and provide assistance and advice in meeting the practical needs of the Technology and Art curriculum, covering GCSE and all post‑16 qualifications. The day‑to‑day role is extremely varied and you will need to adapt and prioritise jobs as they arise.

Applicants should be flexible, punctual, reliable, well‑organised and able to communicate clearly with students and staff in a calm, professional manner. You must work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
