Salary: SCP 3 FTE £24,796 to SCP 7 FTE £26,403 + well‑being cash plan + pension scheme + additional Lift Schools benefits

Your new school
Lift Hazelwood is part of Lift Schools, a MAT of 58 schools which allows access to the best training programmes available as well as more internal opportunities. Lift Hazelwood is a one‑form entry primary school with an attached nursery, situated in West Swindon, located just off J16 of the M4. The school has just over 200 pupils on roll and provides modern, purpose‑built facilities with extensive grounds.
Your new role
This is an exciting teaching assistant role in either the KS1 or nursery classroom, working with a brilliant teacher who has progressed from within the school. You will collaborate with teachers to improve learning outcomes and promote student independence, self‑esteem and social inclusion. Your role will involve supporting children to access the curriculum, participate in learning, and experience a sense of achievement. The position is vital in helping students reach their potential and offers future progression through Level 3 and Level 5 Teaching Assistant apprenticeships and Lift Schools’ Initial Teacher Training programme.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Either an L2 or L3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship or equivalent, or willingness to work towards this qualification.
- Understanding of a range of pupils’ learning needs.
- Patience, calm demeanour and empathy to support diverse students.
- Ability to engage and enthuse students.
