Job Summary

• Shift Assistants work on a four-weekly rota (continental style) covering 24 hours, you will be required to staff specific locations and to provide security patrols throughout the site.
• Be able to work as part of a team to provide a highly efficient and effective security presence on the site in general and at specific locations within a large Museum building as required.
• Ensure the security of our visitors, colleagues and collections.
• Ensure the health and safety of our visitors and colleagues.

Main Purpose of Job

• Maintain a security presence by foot patrols, C.C.T.V vigilance, staffing of security office issuing security keys & passes.
• You’ll provide a security presence in order to safeguard our visitors, staff, the collections and property of National Museum Cardiff.
• You’ll ensure the safety and welfare of our visitors and colleagues.
