The role of Retail Security Officer:

• Providing a visible uniformed deterrent, contributing to the safety and security of the client’s premises and staff
• Carrying out company policy on loss prevention and ensuring the safety of staff and visitors
• Lawfully deter potential troublemakers on site
• Observe and report incidents using the correct reporting systems
• Carrying out all duties assigned by the client or manager
• Ensuring site knowledge is kept up to date and developments at local level are identified
• Understanding and implementing fire and safety evacuation procedures
• Conducting yourself at all times in a manner that reflects well on yourself and the company, with full uniform worn and SIA licence clearly displayed

The ideal Retail Security Officer:

• SIA Door Supervisor or SIA Security licence required
• Aged 18 or over
• Confident communicator and team player
• Tech-savvy enough to use digital devices for admin and reporting
