Health & Safety Manager Vickerstock are proud to be working in partnership with a leading engineering and manufacturing company to recruit a Health & Safety Manager for their Northern Ireland operation. Reporting to senior management, the successful candidate will take ownership of all Health & Safety activities across the site, ensuring compliance with legislation, promoting a positive safety culture, and supporting operational excellence throughout the business. Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of the company’s Health & Safety strategy. Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety legislation and industry standards. Develop, maintain and continuously improve Health & Safety policies, procedures and management systems. Carry out risk assessments and ensure appropriate control measures are implemented. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure safe working practices are maintained. Monitor and report on Health & Safety performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Deliver Health & Safety training and awareness initiatives across the business. Support managers and supervisors in promoting a proactive safety culture. Manage contractor safety and ensure compliance with site requirements. Liaise with external agencies, auditors and regulatory bodies as required. What you will need to succeed NEBOSH Diploma (Level 6) or equivalent Health & Safety qualification is essential. Previous experience in a Health & Safety Manager or Senior Health & Safety position within an engineering, manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements. Experience carrying out risk assessments, audits and incident investigations.
