Nylah’s is an award winning, science led hair wellness brand transforming the way textured hair is understood, supported and cared for. Founded by entrepreneur and hair loss advocate Kameese Davis, Nylah’s exists to support women experiencing hair loss, thinning and scalp concerns through a unique combination of science, wellness and education.
Following national television campaigns, major investment backing and recognition as one of the UK’s fastest growing Black owned beauty businesses, we are entering an exciting phase of growth and international expansion.
We are looking for an ambitious, commercially minded and highly organised individual to work directly alongside our Founder and CEO, helping to grow both her personal brand and the wider influence, reach and commercial opportunities of Nylah’s. As well as working closely with our Sales & Marketing Director to scale our affiliate programme & unlock B2B opportunities.
The Opportunity
This is not a traditional marketing role.
This is a unique opportunity to become the driving force behind the growth of an award winning founder and one of the UK’s most exciting beauty and wellness brands. We’re working on two primary expansion channels for the brand and we’re looking for a visionary to help execute the next stage of growth.
Working closely with our Sales & Marketing Director you will help build out an affiliate programme using your skills in PR and community growth. You will also lead on expanding our B2B wholesale network to grow our brand presence and unlock new revenue channels to support with our ambitious growth plans.
All whilst working to build the brand presence through traditional PR and working closely with the Founder to increase her visibility, build strategic relationships, secure speaking opportunities, create meaningful partnerships and position both Kameese and Nylah’s as leading voices within entrepreneurship, beauty, wellness and hair loss advocacy to help build authority within the textured hair space and drive opportunities for Nylahs .
We’re looking for someone that understands community, PR and how to build and leverage a network of professionals, community members & brand advocates to help us take Nylahs to the next stage.
Key Responsibilities :
Affiliate Network:
- Build and manage our affiliate programme and actively recruit, vet and nurture relationships with affiliates. Overseeing the programme execution from beginning to end and helping build it from the ground up.
Strategic & B2B Partnerships:
- Build our B2B wholesale network, unlocking new partnerships with retailers and salons that align with the brand and help unlock new revenue.
- Develop partnerships that increase brand visibility, customer acquisition and revenue.
- Build relationships with organisations aligned to women’s health, beauty, wellness and entrepreneurship.
- Identify partnership opportunities with community organisations, charities and industry bodies.
- Negotiate and manage partnership agreements and collaborative campaigns.
- Build and maintain a strong partnership pipeline.
Healthcare & Professional Network Development:
- Build relationships with trichologists, dermatologists, nutritionists, menopause specialists and healthcare professionals.
- Identify opportunities for educational collaborations and professional endorsements.
- Coordinate professional events and networking opportunities.
Community & Events:
- Lead the planning and execution of educational and community focused events.
- Support the delivery of wellness experiences, workshops and awareness campaigns.
- Coordinate speakers, sponsors, venues and partnerships.
- Grow and nurture Nylah’s community both online and offline.
- Create opportunities that deepen customer engagement and loyalty.
Executive & Strategic Support:
- Act as a key support partner to the Founder.
- Help prioritise high value opportunities and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure important relationships, opportunities and projects progress efficiently.
- Provide regular reporting and recommendations to support decision making.
Founder Brand Growth & Visibility:
- Develop and execute a growth strategy for the Founder across LinkedIn and other professional platforms.
- Position the Founder as a leading voice in entrepreneurship, beauty, innovation, wellness and women’s health.
- Secure keynote speaking engagements, panel appearances and industry events.
- Identify and coordinate podcast interviews, media features and guest contributor opportunities.
- Build relationships with journalists, event organisers, producers and industry influencers.
- Coordinate thought leadership opportunities and industry commentary.
- Monitor audience growth, engagement and visibility metrics.
Skills & Experience:
Essential
- Experience in community growth & affiliates within the beauty/haircare space.
- Experience in building partnerships and/or business development.
- Excellent relationship building and networking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
- Commercially minded and able to identify growth opportunities.
- Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of social media and personal brand building.
Desirable
- Experience supporting founders, entrepreneurs or senior leaders.
- Experience securing speaking engagements, podcast appearances or PR opportunities.
- Experience planning and delivering events.
- Experience working within beauty, wellness, healthcare or consumer brands.
- Experience managing partnerships that generate measurable commercial outcomes.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 12 months you will have:
- Successfully scaled our affiliate programme.
- Secured a number of new B2B/Retail listings to help support wholesale expansion.
- Increased the Founder’s audience, reach and engagement across professional platforms.
- Secured multiple keynote speaking engagements and podcast appearances.
- Established a network of healthcare professionals and referral partners.
- Built strategic partnerships that contribute measurable revenue and brand awareness.
- Successfully delivered community and educational events.
- Positioned both the Founder and Nylah’s as recognised leaders within the beauty, wellness and hair loss space.
