Our leading international law firm client is seeking a Business Development Manager to support its corporate practice, with a focus on M&A and Private Equity. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders and play a key role in driving strategic growth initiatives.
The Role
You will provide both strategic and day-to-day business development support, working alongside partners and leadership to deliver targeted initiatives and enhance market presence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading business development and marketing activity across key practice areas
- Working closely with partners to develop and implement business plans and identify growth opportunities
- Supporting new business generation through pitches, proposals, and client targeting initiatives
- Conducting market, client, and competitor research to inform strategy
- Driving profile-raising activities, including events, sponsorships, and campaigns
- Managing directory submissions and league table processes to enhance market visibility
- Developing and maintaining marketing materials and pitch documentation
- Tracking and analysing business development activity and pipeline performance
About You
You will be a proactive and commercially focused business development professional with strong experience in a professional services environment.
Requirements include:
- Experience in business development or marketing, ideally within a law firm or similar environment
- Strong understanding of corporate practices, ideally M&A or Private Equity
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational and project management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines
