Job Overview

Wenzel’s The Bakers is looking for a Shop Manager to lead and manage store operations, ensuring sales growth, cost control, and excellent customer service.

Pay & Hours

Competitive salary of £28,000 to £33,000 depending on experience. Working week of 42 hours over 5 days (Monday to Sunday).

About You

• Minimum of 2 years food‑to‑go/retail experience.
• Excellent communicator, able to motivate and lead a team.
• Comfortable managing a store, handling KPI targets, and driving performance.
• Hands‑on trainer and developer of staff.
• Excels in a fast‑paced environment and seeks career progression.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control shop operations.
• Train and develop team members to high standards.
• Recruit, interview, and hire for store and local divisions.
• Act as point of contact for local shops when their manager is on holiday.
• Maintain food production quality and safety standards.
• Exceed shop performance KPIs (sales, wastage %, wage ratio, staff retention, average spend).
• Ensure the store is clean, organised, and welcoming.
• Maintain high customer service standards.
