The Role

Reporting directly to the eDiscovery Managing Consultant, the eDiscovery Consultant role will be responsible for the successful delivery of pragmatic, client‑centric consultancy services across the entire spectrum of the EDRM, and the management of day‑to‑day client projects in the eDiscovery and DSAR spheres.

The role will be focused around the use of Relativity so some exposure to these tools is necessary.

Key responsibilities for the role will include:

  • Assisting Senior Consultancy team as they deliver client projects confidently through each phase of the EDRM and applying practical, proactive consultancy through the use of our technology solutions;
  • Applying knowledge and offering guidance to clients on the Civil Procedure Rules and their implications on eDiscovery processes;
  • Strong professional communication (verbal and written), where you will regularly liaise with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders, and be responsible for developing business relationships with them;
  • Proactive and highly consultative approach to client facing work, where you will be leading and managing multiple projects hosted on review platforms, managing your own time, deliverables, and deadlines to meet client requirements;
  • Performing administrative tasks and providing client user support on document review platforms (Relativity and Nuix Discover);
  • Providing a high level of attention to detail on all tasks, and participating in the peer review and feedback process with colleagues
  • Managing small / medium projects from initial stages to the project completion
  • Assisting with wider administration and quality‑based tasks / work

Required skills / experience

  • 1-2 years’ experience within a similar eDiscovery-based role;
  • A STEM degree or a law degree, or some previous vocational experience in a similar role;
  • Exposure to some areas of consultancy across the EDRM;
  • Technical hands‑on administration experience with a review platform (Relativity preferred);
  • Very good standard of verbal and written communication skills;
  • Good standard of general computer literacy with experience and knowledge in how to use modern Microsoft applications;
  • The ability to work independently and manage a demanding workload;
  • A good level of attention to detail and the ability to be reflective about own work;
  • A positive and creative attitude towards problem solving, particularly when it comes to working with data.

Please note that this role will require security clearance to SC level. If you are not already a holder of SC clearance, you will be required to undergo vetting. Therefore it is a mandatory requirement that you have been a UK resident for at least five years prior to application.
