Package Manager – PTS Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C
The Civil Works Alliance (CWA) supports the construction of Sizewell C, a 3.2‑gigawatt low‑carbon nuclear power station. The Package Manager will play a critical role in the off‑site manufacture and delivery of complex fabricated components within the Main Civil Works Section, ensuring right‑first‑time delivery and seamless integration from factory to site.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the day‑to‑day engineering interface with the Tier 1 subcontractor
- Manage off‑site fabrication of complex steel components, modular assemblies and embedded parts
- Ensure early and accurate interpretation of engineering design releases and interface requirements
- Coordinate engineering, design, manufacturing and construction teams to avoid rework and late changes
- Support the transition from manufacturing through to on‑site installation and integration
- Champion safety, quality and right‑first‑time delivery across the supply chain
Qualifications & Experience
- Leading technical coordination across engineering, manufacturing and construction disciplines
- Reviewing and approving manufacturing drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Managing RFIs, FCRs, NCRs and maintaining configuration control in line with Sizewell C governance
- Ensuring compliance with nuclear‑grade quality requirements – welding, NDT and material traceability
- Identifying and mitigating risks throughout the manufacturing lifecycle
- Supporting and guiding junior engineers within the team
- Building strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and Tier 1 suppliers
- A degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent)
- Significant experience in off‑site fabrication of complex components on large infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of nuclear or similarly regulated environments
- Proven supplier and stakeholder management capability
- Clear communication skills and sound technical judgement
- Eligibility for UK security vetting (requiring UK residency for at least three of the past five years)
