Assembly and Test Team Leader – GS and OE
Reporting To: Management, General Manufacturing & Operations
Work Schedule: Onsite – Wolverhampton, GBR
Moog is a performance culture that empowers people to achieve great things. At Moog Aircraft Group in Wolverhampton, we are looking to recruit an experienced Assembly and Test Team Leader to drive activity and manage the team across our Assembly and Test Programmes for GS and OE.
In this role you will report to the Manufacturing Manager and supervise the Assembly and Test team, ensuring all direct staff comply with company procedures. You will be responsible for maintaining production processes, meeting MPS plan deadlines, reviewing performance, identifying training needs, and driving motivation.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure day‑to‑day operations run in compliance with Health & Safety policies and guidelines
- Manage, develop, and motivate highly skilled technicians to achieve challenging goals
- Effectively utilize the strengths and skills of team members to meet business and customer demands
- Accountable for product quality in line with the quality systems, processes, and procedures
- Oversee the resolution of technical, quality, logistics, and personnel issues
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure delivery targets are met
Key Skills and Experience
- Experience of continual improvement projects preferable
- Understanding of working to a recognised quality management system
- Previous team leader experience ideal but not essential
- Understanding of lean principles and how to apply them
- Assembly experience would be advantageous
- Strong analytical abilities to coordinate & manage complex manufacturing issues
Security Clearance
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
