They’re looking for a Buying Manager to take ownership of multiple FMCG categories, lead a small team, and drive commercial performance across the portfolio. You’ll have real influence over range, margin, and supplier strategy—with the autonomy to make decisions and the backing to deliver change.

The Role

• Lead and develop FMCG categories within a wholesale environment
• Manage, coach, and develop a small buying team
• Own supplier strategy, relationships, and performance across key accounts
• Negotiate pricing, promotions, rebates, and long‑term commercial agreements
• Use data and insight to drive range optimisation, margin improvement, and growth
• Align closely with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to deliver commercial plans
• Drive new product introduction and category development
• Oversee stock performance, availability, and demand planning inputs

What They’re Looking For

• Proven experience in a Buying Manager / Senior Buyer / Category Manager role within FMCG, wholesale, or retail
• Leadership experience – able to develop and get the best out of a team
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of improving margin and performance
• Confident negotiator with experience managing key supplier relationships
• Analytical mindset – able to turn data into actionable decisions
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
