Early Years and Education T-Level Tutor and Assessor

Full timeSalary: £28,870 – £36,590 per annumTown Centre Campus, Burton on Trent

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Early Years and Education tutor to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will teach learners on the Level 3 T Level in Early Years and Education, delivering high‑quality classroom teaching alongside assessment and observations within the learner industry placements. The role will be split between onsite at our main campus and visiting learners in their placement settings. This is an excellent opportunity for a practitioner/assessor with strong sector knowledge who is passionate about developing future professionals in education and childcare.

This role requires working with our external partners so a driving license and own transport is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching on the Level 3 T Level in Early Years and Education
  • Plan and deliver curriculum content in line with T Level specifications and employer expectations
  • Assess learner progress and support preparation for internal and external assessments
  • Assess, observe and support learners in their industry placements, ensuring alignment with qualification requirements
  • Work closely with employers, learners and curriculum teams to ensure successful placement outcomes
  • Maintain accurate assessment, observation and tracking records
  • Promote safeguarding, professional practice, equality and inclusion at all times

Essential Knowledge and Experience

  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years and Education sector, including child development from birth to 8 years
  • Safeguarding, welfare and child protection requirements
  • Curriculum frameworks and early learning theories
  • Roles and responsibilities of early years and education professionals
  • Professional standards, legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths (evidence of qualifications is required)
