Job details

Salary £28,142 – £28,598 full time without relevant qualification (£14.59 – £14.82 per hour). £29,064 – £31,022 with relevant qualification (£15.06 – £16.08) plus enhancements for evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Contractual hours 37 Basis Fixed Hours.

Responsibilities

• Care for up to 5 children with complex disabilities at Rainbow Lodge.
• Provide personal care, promote health, support education, and ensure emotional and social development.
• Work with children, parents, special schools, social workers and health professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
• Participate in day‑to‑day care, planning, and performance of care activities, including play, leisure and learning opportunities.
• Manage challenging behaviours and complex health needs, demonstrating resilience, flexibility, and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts.
• Collaborate with the Specialist Community Disability Service team and other staff to provide effective support.

Qualifications

• Experience working with disabled children with complex needs.
• Resilience to manage challenging behaviours and complex health needs.
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, and ability to engage with parents and professionals.
