Working Hours: 14 hours per week (Thursday and Friday)

Responsibilities
- Carry out full visual inspections on live roadworks in line with the GMRAPS scheme inspections.
- Plan routes and schedules to maximise daily inspections and provide day‑to‑day support and query resolution to Permit Officers, Coordinator and Management.
- Manage day‑to‑day coordination tasks, including early entry, traffic management with statutory undertakers, liaising with Traffic and Events Officer, and ensuring compliance with all necessary Highways systems and processes.
- Undertake additional inspections such as Section 74, 3rd Party, FPNs and Permit conditions as required.
- Perform additional duties as reasonably commensurate with the level of the post.
Qualifications
- Highways background and experience of works coordination.
- Experience in stakeholder and contractor engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and influencing skills.
- Track record of building effective partnerships with senior managers and elected members.
- Strong IT skills; computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office.
- Full driving licence and ability to use own car for business purposes.
- Prior experience in network coordination and knowledge of highways legislation desirable but not essential.

Casual Car Users must provide their own car and documentation. An allowance per mile of business use will be received.
