Position Overview
We are looking for a detail‑oriented and collaborative quality professional with experience in Quality Control in manufacturing environments, committed to maintaining high product standards through accurate testing, effective problem‑solving, and strong cross‑functional teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Quality Control process for raw materials, intermediate lacquers, liquid products, and coated films.
- Provide Go / No‑go decisions for materials covered by the QC testing process against the approved manufacturing specification.
- Communicate QC‑based decisions to key stakeholders and update electronic systems to manage stock levels, allowing passed material to transition to the next stage of the supply chain.
- Follow appropriate containment procedures for materials which fail to meet the QC specification requirements; communicate such decisions to key stakeholders and enable quarantine procedures within SAP to prevent use and customer supply.
- Maintain and produce accurate quality documentation (test record sheets and COA’s) to confirm the integrity of manufactured materials to our customers.
- Update and maintain documentation critical to the QC process.
- Support Quality Engineers with investigations into “Out of Specification” manufactured products, intermediates, and raw materials.
- Support complaints investigation processes to quickly investigate customer complaints, allowing prompt feedback and closure.
- Champion quality standards within the Quality Control department, ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained.
- Work closely with all areas of manufacturing and quality to ensure all products meet the highest standards of quality.
- Willingness to work on shifts – 3 shifts on a 3‑weekly rotation basis.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in a Quality Control environment within manufacturing and conducting physical, functional, and cosmetic testing against product specifications.
- Relevant industrial experience with the drive and tenacity to develop into a quality‑based role with support.
- Systematic and structured approach to following test procedures and work instructions in a disciplined manner.
- Methodical in approach to problem solving.
- Strong interpersonal skills to provide key pass / fail information to all areas of manufacturing and the wider quality group.
- Strong-minded to apply the requirements of the QC specification despite external pressures, possibly seeking support from senior management within the department.
- With increased experience – ability to train / mentor less experienced members of the department.
- Good IT skills.
- Good level of literacy to enable preparation of quality related documentation.
- Flexible in approach to work and able to adapt to quickly changing priorities.
