2975 – Applications Development Support Officer
An opportunity has arisen for an Applications Development Support Officer to work within the Applications Development Team of the Business Intelligence Department at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
The Applications Development Team duties primarily include providing data warehouse management and maintenance, developing new systems and applications, supporting changes and new functionalities, working alongside other teams to ensure maintenance of SharePoint versions as well as creating and supporting e-Forms used across the Trust.

Qualifications
- Educated to Diploma Level or equivalent relevant experience
- PRINCE2 Foundation
- ITIL Foundation
Experience
- Experience of working on Projects
- Experience of working in an NHS environment
- Experience of internal and external IT fault reporting process
- Advanced experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
- Experience in keeping accurate, up-to‑date records and documentation
- Experience of merging patient records
- Experience of delivering presentations
- Experience delivering training to individuals / small groups
- Previous experience of working in the NHS with Clinicians and Management
Knowledge and Awareness
- Significant proven knowledge and experience of working in a customer focused service
- Comprehensive knowledge of NHS systems
- Knowledge of relevant legislation Information governance
- Knowledge of developing procedures and implementing new working practice.
- Understanding of managing system and application changes
- Knowledge of specific NHS Systems:
- PAS
- Order Comms
- SharePoint
- Integration Engine
- General knowledge of IT technical issues including client server networking, PC environments and databases
- Knowledge or understanding of object oriented programming principles
