CYP Support Worker – Fixed Term

Overview

Various positions are available within women’s aid services focusing on domestic abuse support and finance coordination. All roles require membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.

Children and Young People’s Support Worker – Edinburgh Women’s Aid

• 21 hours per week, temporary contract for a minimum of 9 months with possibility of extension.
• Provide essential support to children and young people who are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse.
• Requirement: satisfactory Adult and Child PVG scheme membership.

Assistant Finance Worker / SMV Fund Coordinator – Shakti

• Full‑time role combining 21 hours as Assistant Finance Worker and 14 hours as SMV Fund Coordinator, based in Edinburgh.
• Assist and support the lead Finance Worker to ensure day‑to‑day finance and accounts tasks are effectively carried out.
• Qualifications: relevant accounting qualifications, at least 1 year experience of general accounting and reconciliation work to audit level, sound knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts and Excel, IT literacy, good keyboard skills, planning, organisational and communication skills.
• Additional knowledge required of no recourse to public funds, domestic abuse and honour‑based abuse within Black Minority Ethnic communities.

Full‑time Member of Staff – Fife Women’s Aid

• Provide advice, advocacy, support and services to children, young people and families who have experienced domestic abuse.
• Experience in relevant social care setting required.
• Minimum: SVQ Level III or equivalent qualification in childcare or related subject (or willingness to work towards a qualification).
• High motivation, teamwork ability, flexible hours and ability to cover on‑call as an advantage.

Renfrewshire Women’s Aid – Role

• Provide holistic and flexible services through one‑to‑one and group work to women, children and young people with domestic abuse experience.
• Undertake managerial duties as required by the collective.
• On site: Dundee (Dundee Women’s Hub and outreach across Dundee).
• Requirement: membership of PVG Scheme.
